Nicholas Miller is a composer, improviser, guitarist, electronic musician and multimedia artist originally from Salt Lake City. Their work is informed by jazz, magic, ecology, and performance art. They have performed internationally at venues including the Sundance Film Festival and Westminster Palace and have appeared on concert billings with electronic duo Matmos and composer/performer Elaine Mitchener. They have also collaborated with world class artists including the Castalian Quartet, country singer Melissa Carper, Grammy-winning operatic tenor Thomas Glenn, and Grammy-winning jazz drummer Danny Gottlieb. They hold a degree in Jazz Studies from the University of Denver under Mike Abbott and Laura Husbands as well as a Masters of Guitar from Utah State University under Corey Christiansen and Stephen Mitton. They also hold a Masters in Composition with distinction from the University of Oxford under Jennifer Walshe.
